Hey! My name is Lucy Shao and I am studying Accounting and Financial Management student at the University of Waterloo. I consider my hometown Hamilton, but I've also lived in Ottawa as well. I heard about Heart 4 Heart, I couldn't wait to start a chapter at my university! When I'm not in class or at club meetings you can find me at the closest restaurant, I'm always eating! I look forward to working with the amazing H4H team and hope that we are able to make a difference!
Hey, hey, hey! I’m currently an Economics and Business student at the University of Waterloo in the last year of my undergraduate. In my spare time (or in other words when I decide to procrastinate), you will usually find me reading fantasy-adventure novels, playing the flute or dancing in my room. In addition to school, I also volunteer and play intramural futsal. The reason I joined Heart 4 Heart Waterloo is because of my passion for volunteering. I believe that even the smallest actions can have a positive impact on someone else’s life. With power like this, why not use it to help make a difference in our world?
Hi! My name is Cindy Hum and I’m currently studying Accounting and Financial Management at the University of Waterloo. Super pumped to be part of the team this year! It’s been an incredible 4 months being a part of Heart 4 Heart and I can’t wait to continue to work with all these amazing people. If you’re reading this and you’re interested in becoming a part of us – do it! Make new friends, have fun, and the best yet: help those who are in need. Every action makes a difference in this world, and this can be your turn to make a change.
Hi! My name is Rabani Sawhney and I am a first-year student in the Accounting and Financial Management program at the University of Waterloo. Unlike the common misconception that accountants only crunch numbers all day, I also love exploring new restaurants, going out with friends and family, and travelling! I am very excited to be a part of Heart 4 Heart's Waterloo chapter, and I am looking forward to work with the team to raise awareness about CHD. With an avid interest in giving back to the community, I find ways to get involved in clubs like Heart 4 Heart that enable me to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Hi there! I'm a second year Accounting and Financial Management student at the University of Waterloo. I've been with the Waterloo chapter since its creation not long ago, and I'm looking forward to watching this chapter, and the organization, rapidly progress and spread awareness about the cause! It's a privilege to be a part of something so impactful to the lives of our future generation, and to our own communities because it spreads love and kindness. During my free time outside of Heart 4 Heart, I enjoy learning about different people, different cultures, ancient civilizations, and random facts about the world. I also enjoy looking at puppies and cats for most of my day, but who doesn't? Cute animals make us feel warm and happy inside, and Heart 4 Heart gives that same effect. The dedication of the organization brings joy, happiness, and warmth to children who need it most, and we're all a part of it.
Hi! My name is Gladys Leung and I am studying Accounting and Financial Management at the University of Waterloo. I love to learn new things to help give me new and different perspectives in everything I do. I'm really looking forward to watching this chapter grow in size and in impact! Hi! I'm Kopika Kuhathaas and am from Vaughan, ON. I am currently a student at University of Waterloo and am enrolled in Biochemistry. When I'm not working hard in school, I like spending time with my friends or reading classic novels. After many volunteering experiences and years of travelling, I have come to realize that my passion lies in helping people who are less privileged. I am very excited to be helping kids with congenital heart defects through Heart 4 Heart! The team here at Waterloo consists of individuals who are all unbelievably hard-working and fully dedicated in making the lives of many kids even better! I am honored to work with these individuals to help make a change in someone's life. As Charles Dicken's once said, "No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another."
Hi! My name is Michelle Beliavsky and I am studying accounting and financial management at the University of Waterloo. Outside of school I love reading, dancing and just spending time with friends. I am so happy to be able to work with the Heart 4 Heart team and take part in changing the lives of children across the world. The work that we do is tremendously important because by raising money, and providing surgeries to children with congenital heart defects, we are putting smiles on the faces of people in the far corners of the world.
Hi! My name is Xue Leng. I am a 2nd year Accounting and Financial Management program student in the University of Waterloo. I have a strong passion for visual arts, music, as well as travelling. I joined the Heart 4 Heart team because I believe everyone deserves the same opportunities. These children should have the same opportunities as us: to live, to make mistakes, to learn and to love. I' am happy to work together with other caring and passionate individuals to help others who need as well as deserve it.
Hi! I study accounting at the University of Waterloo. When i'm not studying accounting, you'll find me watching documentaries, youtube videos, movies and hanging out with my friends. Hello! My name is Tess and I am a 2nd year student studying Honours Science at the University of Waterloo. In the future, I hope to become a Pharmacist. Outside of school, my commitments include Heart 4 Heart, the Knitting Club and the Indonesian Student Association, and my hobbies include knitting, jamming out, and traveling. I find being able to make a difference in the lives of those around me has been an important driving force in my life. Becoming a part of Heart 4 Heart has been a valuable and rewarding experience because of the ability to integrate my knowledge in the Sciences to my passion for social justice, especially in allowing me to give my time to make a difference in preventing disease and suffering in the lives of children all around! As Mother Teresa said, “Love does not measure, it just gives”.
