Hi, my name is Tiffany Tsilker and I am from Woodbridge, Ontario. I am currently a fourth year life science major and philosophy minor at Queen’s University. Apart from studying, you can find me either reading, going to the gym or hanging out with my friends! I have a huge passion for healthcare, as well as working with children, and I’m looking forward to combining these passions in order to help children with congenital heart disease receive life changing surgeries. This is my third year as part of the Heart 4 Heart executive team and I am so grateful to be able to spend my final year at university as president of the Queen’s chapter. I have always admired the amazing and important work of Heart 4 Heart and am excited to help contribute to this mission as president this year.
Hi, my name is Hayley O’Brien and I am from Toronto, Ontario. I am a fourth year student at Queen’s University majoring in Health Studies, as well as completing the Certificate in Business. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, exercising, and watching the Leafs! This is my first year being a part of Heart4Heart and it has already been an amazing experience. Advocating for children with congenital heart disease is extremely rewarding, especially with such a great team of passionate individuals. I am proud to be a part of Heart4Heart Queen’s Chapter this year!
Hello! My name is Jordan Pomerleau and I am from the small town of Uxbridge Ontario. I am a third year Nursing Student at Queen’s University, and I am hoping to further my studies by applying to Medical School after graduation. It was my interest in Biology and Chemistry, as well as a love of cardiac health, that lead me to pursue a career in the medical field; however, my passions have always revolved around helping people. Heart 4 Heart stood out to me because I am an advocate for supporting children who don’t have access to adequate healthcare. The organization itself is filled with such passionate members, and I am happy to be working alongside such a great team of individuals.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, exercising, and volunteering as much as possible. This is my second year in this position on the executive team and I am very excited to continue in this role as the Co-Volunteer Director! I look forward to continuing to work with Heart 4 Heart, because I am passionate about global equality, especially regarding access to healthcare.
Hi my name is Meg Swaffield and I am from Vancouver, BC. I’m currently in my second year of the Nursing Program at Queen’s University. Being in Nursing, I’ve been exposed to the costly realities of the health care system and that is what inspired me to join Heart4Heart. In nursing we are taught to always advocate for the patient’s needs, especially when they cannot advocate for themselves. What better way to do so than by raising money for children to receive life saving heart surgeries that they otherwise wouldn’t be able afford? It is incredibly rewarding to be a part of a club that is making a true difference in people’s lives. I’m very excited for my first year in the co-volunteer coordinator position and I’m looking forward to helping make positive change in the lives of the children who need it the most.
