Hi, my name is Nick and I am a fourth year student at Queen's University, studying Life Science. In my free time, I really enjoy hanging out with my friends, exercising, and watching TikTok (oops). This is my second year being a part of Heart4Heart, and I am super honoured to be taking on the role of President for my final year at university! I was immediately drawn to this club last year, as we advocate for children with congenital heart disease by providing them with the funds we raise throughout the year! I am super excited to see what we accomplish this year!!
Hi, my name is Rachael Iseman and I am from Vaughan, Ontario. I have the pleasure of being a fourth Life Science student at Queen’s University. Being in Life Sciences allows me to explore various interesting subjects such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and more. After undergrad, I wish to continue to pursue my passion for science by attending medical school. My interest in the sciences and my love for helping others has led me to join Heart 4 Heart during my first year here at Queen’s. Heart 4 Heart shares my values when it comes to helping those in need through health care and that is why I am fortunate enough to be Vice President this year. I look forward to making a difference and to a great year ahead!
Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Zitek and I am in my fourth year specializing in Life Sciences. I am so excited to be the Chief Financial Officer for H4H Queen's this year! Some fun facts about me are that I love music and to go hiking.
Hey my name is Sylvia and I will be one of your events coordinators for this year. I am in my second year of Life Science and I’m from Markham, Ontario. I wanted to join H4H because I am passionate about the topic of equal access to healthcare for all and look forward to help do so through the work H4H does with helping children with congenital heart disease in developing countries get the help they need.
My name is Lily Sun and I am from London, Ontario. I am currently a fourth year student pursuing an Honours degree in Life Sciences at Queen’s University. In my free time, you can find me trying new foods, catching up on new Netflix originals, or hanging out with my hamster! As my third year on the executive team, I hope to continue to raise awareness about congenital heart disease and advocate for those who cannot afford the necessary life-saving procedures and surgeries required. My heart goes out to the children and families affected by congenital heart disease as I believe that no parent should ever have to suffer through the preventable death of a child. I am proud to work with Heart4Heart to make this belief a reality!
Hi! My name is Meg and I'm in my 3rd year of the nursing program here at Queen's. I was born and raised in Vancouver, and I'm big into outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, kayaking... pretty much anything that gets me outside. I am one of the two sponsorship coordinators for Heart 4 Heart this year. I joined Heart 4 Heart in my first year and have been involved ever since. I was inspired to join because as a nursing student, I've been able to witness just how detrimental it is for families to have children who are unwell. Through this club, I hope to be able to relieve even a little bit of that burden. I am so excited to work alongside the rest of the wonderful committee this year to make a difference in the lives of children with congenital heart diseases.
John is a 3rd year Life Science student, acting as the club’s conference coordinator, helping to plan our annual Queen’s Cardiovascular Conference. He enjoys listening to music, cycling along the lake, and playing video games. A fun fact about John is that he has been to the most Northern community in Canada.
Hello, my name is Rachel and I am a fifth year student at Queen's University majoring in Life Sciences. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, attending workout classes, and trying to get outdoors as much as possible! I am so excited to work on Heart 4 Heart this year as the Co-Conference Coordinator; I have been a part of H4H for the past few years now, and I am looking forward to seeing how our team will adjust to working remotely. I am so proud of the work that we have done to advocate for children with congenital heart disease, and I cannot wait to work together to contribute to such an important cause this year!
Hi there! My name is Hiral Thakkar and I was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. I’m currently a first year student in the Health Sciences program and I have the pleasure of being your Design Coordinator for this upcoming school year! In my free time, you can find me at the gym, trying out new recipes, and of course, making Tik Toks! I was instantly drawn to H4H as I was truly inspired by their aim of raising awareness for children with congenital heart disease. I’m extremely grateful to be working with such an amazing team and I’m looking forward to a great year ahead!
