Hi! My name is Meg and I'm in my 4th year of the nursing program here at Queen's. I was born and raised in Vancouver, and I'm big into outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, kayaking... pretty much anything that gets me outside. I am fortunate enough to be one of the Co-Presidents of Queen’s Heart4Heart this year. I joined Heart 4 Heart in my first year and have been involved ever since. I was inspired to join because as a nursing student, I've been able to witness just how detrimental it is for families to have children who are unwell. Through this club, I hope to be able to relieve even a little bit of that burden. I am so excited to work alongside the rest of the wonderful committee this year to make a difference in the lives of children with congenital heart diseases.
Hi! My name is Marco Trigiani and I am from Burlington, Ontario. I am currently a 3rd year student in the Health Sciences program here at Queen’s University. In my free time I enjoy watching and playing sports (especially football and hockey), hanging out with friends, and listening to music. This is my third year being part of Heart4Heart and I am very honoured to be serving the role of Co-President this year. Serving as Co-President, I hope to have a positive impact on the Queen’s community and beyond through raising awareness and funds for children with congenital heart disease. I am looking forward to furthering the initiatives of Heart4Heart this year with our excellent executive team!
Hi there! My name is Hiral Thakkar and I’m from Mississauga, Ontario. I’m currently a second year student in the Health Sciences program and I have the pleasure of being your Design Coordinator for this upcoming school year (for the second year in a row - WOOT WOOT)! I was instantly drawn to H4H as I was truly inspired by their aim of raising awareness for children with congenital heart disease, and being able to combine that with my passion for graphic design. I’m extremely grateful to be working with such an amazing team and I’m looking forward to a great year ahead!
Hi everyone! My name is Sylvia Kathirkamanathan and I am in my third year of Life Sciences. I am beyond excited to be one of the events coordinators for this year! Hi, my name is Vincent Marraffino, and I am a second-year student in Health Sciences at Queen’s. I’m from Toronto and I love to do any exciting physical activity and like to unwind with some good music. This is my first year with Heart 4 Heart and I am a conference coordinator. I joined H4H because I saw this group working and raising awareness for a great cause and I wanted to be apart of it. I’m excited to raise awareness as well and money for children with congenital heart disease, with the help of other individuals with similar values.
Hey everyone. My name is Lucas and I am in my 4th year of Nursing here at Queen's. This is my first year with being with Heart 4 Heart. What inspired me to join is my passion in cardiovascular health. Fortunately, I was able to provide care to individuals who have to manage heart conditions and it really illuminated me to the difficulties they experience and how important it is to care for one's health. Heart 4 Heart was the perfect mold to combine my passion for the cardiovascular system and supporting those most affected.
Chief Financial Officer
Hello, my name is Hunter and I’m a fourth year nursing student! I am incredibly excited to be apart of the Queen’s H4H chapter, working as the Chief Financial Officer. I have interests in both medicine and finance, so this role allows me to combine these two passions, and be involved with a terrific organization! I am eager to begin the year and am hopeful that this year’s committee can make a difference in the lives of those born with congenital heart diseases.
Hi! My name is Maddy Ratz and I am a second year student pursuing a specialization in Life Sciences. This year I am the sponsorship coordinator for H4H Queen’s and I am so excited to be apart of this club! Growing up, I lived in Kingston before moving to Stouffville, Ontario just before starting high school. Now I am so happy to back in Kingston! I like playing and watching sports, especially hockey, rugby and downhill skiing, and I enjoy hiking and exploring the outdoors. I am passionate about travel and love learning about new places and cultures. I joined H4H because I love that we can raise awareness about congenital heart disease and at the same time, see how we can positively impact the health of the children we help. I am excited to work with this team and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish this year!
