Windsor Chapter
Sukhraj Sanghera

President

Hi, I’m Sukhraj and I’m currently in my 4th year majoring Biology at the University of Windsor and I plan on pursuing oral surgery. I’ve always had a passion to make a difference which is why I’ve been volunteering for various organizations for as long as I can remember. This passion has ultimately played a role in the start-up of the University of Windsor H4H chapter and I look forward to working with our wonderful team and helping these children overcome their struggles.

Advait Desai

President

Hello, my name is Advait Desai and I am currently in my fourth year of biochemistry. I have the pleasure of being one of the co-presidents for the Heart4Heart University of Windsor Chapter. By having this program at our University, we not only wish to help fundraise and obtain money for a good cause, but also wish to spread awareness of the drastic problem that children in different communities face. On my free time, I do research at an organic chemistry research lab where I attempt to make acetal free versions of antigens using carbohydrates to help fight cancer cells. I also enjoy playing and following sports such as basketball and soccer and occasionally like to relax and watch movies with friends.

Howdy! My name is Yasin Avci and I am currently in my fourth year of Interdisciplinary Arts and Science. I helped out the University of Windsor chapter of Heart4Heart last year as a general volunteer and this year I have the opportunity to take on the role of an executive of Finance. The ability to affect one's life is a great thing and through this organization, I truly believe that any small positive difference we can make in a child and their family's life is amazing. I hope we can continue to cultivate beneficial progress this year.

Hi there! I’m Alison, and I’m currently in my third year of nursing here at the University of Windsor. Being a nursing student, I’m extremely passionate about health care, and recognize how privileged we are in Canada to have access to such great healthcare. I’m very excited for the opportunity to assist this organization in getting much needed surgeries for underprivileged children around the world. I’m looking forward to working with the University of Windsor’s first Heart 4 Heart executive team!
